Spicejet flight to Dharamshala

Flights to Dharamshala airport will be resumed from March 31, 2013 in the first phase as Shimla and Kullu airports await the revised schedule from DGCA.

According to airport director Dharamshala, KK Sharma, SpiceJet will operate daily two flights and one flight will be operated by Alliance Air.

He said the summer schedule issued by the Director-General of Civil Aviation received by his office mentioned that there would be three daily flights connecting Delhi with Dharamshala from March 31.

He said the first flight would land at 12 noon and take off at 12:20 pm, the second land at 2:45 pm and take off at 3:05 pm and the third land at 3 pm and take off at 3:20 pm.

He said SpiceJet would operate a 70-seater plane and Alliance Air will be operating a 48-seater aircraft. He said the summer schedule would continue till October 26.

While flights to Dharamshala will resume from March 31st no time frame has been given for resumption of flights to Shimla and Manali. It has been over five months now after flights were suspended to all airports in Himachal Pradesh in September 2012.
